Erin woke up in the morning a new person, all signs of sickness gone.

Later in the morning I was surprised to get a call from Toyota saying the car was fixed. If you want to Google it, we are driving my dad’s 2005 Lexus GX470, which is notorious for failing suspension systems over time. I had been expecting a major expense to get it fixed and had even rented a car, but Toyota said all they had to do was replace a bad wire.

With the car back, we did a little shopping so Nancy could share her southeastern specialty, shrimp and grits, with our southwestern hosts. I have to say that few things taste better than shrimp fried in bacon grease.

Things were starting to fall in place after a pretty rough start.
