We had the chance to create a display at our local library to share our love of LEGOS. They have two display cases that anyone can sign up to share a collection they have. I thought it would be fun to share our lego collection and get others excited about creating and learning with LEGOS. The kids were not too thrilled to part with their prized legos for an entire month, but once it got closer to the date to setup they go into it.
Actually, we all were working up to the deadline to create enough models to fill the cases. I even tried my hand at a model and was quite successful. I built the sushi and tea set, with the help of Ian. He was my sushi chef. The tea pot and cup were my design. I surprised myself with how it turned out. I usually shy away from that sort of building, but once I got into it and focused it just came together. Jay created a model of The St. Augustine Lighthouse. He used a Google photo as a guide. We have the photo on display with the model. It turned out really nice. Make sure you stop by and check the display out in person if you are local. It will be up the entire month of May.
